Created for Bernalillo County Planning & Development Services. As of May, 2022, this feature class and all the features in the BerncoBasemap geodatabase are updated twice a month. This notice of update frequency supersedes any date references that may be listed elsewhere in this meta data. These data are updated based on new plats, address changes, zone changes and special use permits. The feature classes included in the BerncoBasemap geodatabase are listed below: CitiesAndCommunities, AddressPoints, Base Map, Base Map Updates, Easements, Land Use, Multiple Addresses, Netcurr, Parcel Lines, Zoning, ZoneChangeHistory, Address anno, Block Anno, Case Anno, History Anno, Lot Anno, Miscellaneous Anno, Street Anno, Subdivision Anno, Zoning Anno.

    New zone designation and special use permit changes are provided by this source.
    The Zone Change Application form can be downloaded from the Bernalillo County website. When a Zone Change Application is filled out, it gets advertised as public information and zoning staff reviews the application to make sure it meets accepted zone change criteria. If it does, there is a hearing with the County Planning Commission (CPC) to review the application and hear from the public who may agree or disagree with the request. If the commission approves the request, then a copy of the application is send to the GIS Program and changed in GIS.
